In 1983, Tom Nguyen obtained his bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering at Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia. Tom graduated Summa Cum Laude and was valedictorian of his class. Nguyen went on to receive his master’s degree in Nuclear Engineering from the University of Virginia. In 1991, Tom joined Los Alamos National Laboratories and worked as a Nuclear Engineer on various top-secret projects for the laboratory.
